Cloud Banana Offers Fruitful Online Shopping via Savtira?s Cloud Commerce Platform

Cloud Banana Offers Fruitful Online Shopping via Savtira’s Cloud Commerce Platform

Savtira Corporation

Tampa, FL (PRWEB) October 07, 2011

Between daily deals online, personalized promotional feeds and targeted online advertisements, consumers have the freedom of choice and variety when shopping online, selecting specials only they personally would be interested in. The next question an online consumer will be asked is, “how is the shopping experience?” For Cloud Banana, a new entertainment digital media and physical goods eStore, that answer will be simple. Cloud Banana today announces selecting Savtira Corporation, a new provider of B2B Cloud Commerce solutions, to build its eStore via a cloud-based platform that enables speed, convenience and overwhelming variety for its online shoppers.

While consumers continue to eliminate their DVD and CD collections, all digital media will need a personal storing place and the ultimate solution in order to avoid crashes, losses or lack of digital space is to go to the cloud. Cloud Banana was created to be a competitive eStore that offers online shoppers a better way to share, transfer, access and store purchased movies, audio/e-books, games or music. The cloud is simply the delivery of computing as a service rather a product, where shared resources, software and information are provided to any and all Internet-connected devices over a network.

“We say we are offering a fruitful way to shop online, which means there is no exclusivity to certain devices when downloading – or in this case, retrieving digital media from the cloud. There is no hopping from one website to another to complete a simultaneous purchase of a physical product with a digital media product. Our site will offer carrier-class streaming capabilities and the option to select or compare from countless additional products. This is all possible through our platform with Savtira,” said Cloud Banana CFO, Matt Middleton.

Savtira is a developing software-as-a-service Cloud Commerce solutions company, using mass data centers around the globe to power the cloud for storage and quality streaming needs. Savtira’s infrastructure uses e-commerce to sell both digital and physical goods in one unified shopping cart online – making consumer transactions convenient and easy.

Savtira’s cloud platform holds a robust catalog of digital media and physical goods made available to retailers who choose to stock their eStores using Savtira’s catalog as a way to increase revenue. In Cloud Banana’s case, the new eStore offering will include Savtira’s nearly 14 million-item product line in both digital and physical goods. The catalog line consists of music, movies, games, audio/e-books, software to apparel, accessories and jewelry, automotive, baby/kids and toys, electronics, health and beauty, home, garden and living, sporting and outdoor equipment. Cloud Banana is estimated to earn $ 16 million in transactional sales over the next three years.

“The bottom line is this: we wanted to create an eStore that offers what other online stores do not. We are focused on educating consumers on how to easily manage their media in the cloud. We want our customers to enjoy purchasing their media entertainment and storing it in one sound location, which would be their personal digital eLocker that Savtira provides,” explains Middleton. “This way, all our customer’s movies, games, music and more can be located, accessed and endlessly stored in their eLocker via Cloud Banana. This was a huge attribute we were looking for when choosing an architect for building the infrastructure of our store.”

Savtira’s Entertainment Distribution Network (EDN) in development will stream digital media from the cloud to any device. Consumers would be able to access the digital media on a rental or subscription basis where no downloading or installation will be necessary. A device-agnostic pause and resume capability will also be available. All data and configuration is stored within the cloud.

“We are honored to be collaborating with Cloud Banana on their venture to make online shopping an even better experience,” said Savtira EVP of sales and business development, Laura Mayo. “As the global culture moves further away from DVDs and CDs, marketing retailers like Cloud Banana will accommodate online consumers with an easy-to-navigate, easy-to-store and share digital media shopping website. We look forward to working with Cloud Banana and offering superior services with our Cloud Commerce platform.”

Savtira will be building the Cloud Banana eStore from simplified and secure payment gateways to providing fulfillment, support and customer service. Cloud Banana will also be utilizing Savtira’s catalog and EDN. Stay tuned for Cloud Banana’s virtual grand opening via http://www.CloudBanana.com.

Outdoor Décor Retailer HG Lifestyle Expands Its Selection of Weathervanes and Cupolas

HG Lifestyle

Wallingford CT (PRWEB) October 11, 2011

Enhancing a patio, rooftop, or garden, outdoor décor changes the character of a home. A cupola, mounted to a roof, creates a new level of sophistication, while smaller accents, from rain chains to hose pots, turn mundane aspects into noticeable and attractive features. Outdoor décor spans many personal tastes and is seldom permanent; in fact, a homeowner can switch up the style with the seasons. Because of these reasons, outdoor décor retailer HG Lifestyle consistently updates and expands its product selection. Offering handcrafted outdoor décor pieces for the rooftop, garden, and patio, HG Lifestyle recently added new weathervanes to its line of products and brought back three cupola designs.

Built to be mounted to smaller structures, cast aluminum weathervanes are the latest items the retailer decided to include into its already-expansive selection. Less expensive than the copper and brass models, the new weathervanes are made out of 100-percent rust-free recycled aluminum and finished with weather-resistant black paint; each is accompanied by a roof mount. As a result, a garden or roof on a shed, barn, house, or gazebo can be accented with an attractive piece that holds up to the elements year round. In terms of design, HG Lifestyle takes a traditional route with shapes of cast aluminum weathervanes and also includes styles, from nautical to agriculture themes, for many tastes.

HG Lifestyle also brought back three formerly-discontinued designs to its line of vinyl and wood cupolas. The Plymouth Wood and Plymouth Vinyl Cupolas are two of them. For the latter, the Plymouth Vinyl Cupola has a classic design of windows, a ship lap base, and a 24-gauge copper roof. With a four-sided shape, each is constructed out of solid vinyl plank and board, which needs no maintenance and is significantly more substantial than PVC. With similar features, the Plymouth Wood Cupola is made out of durable hand-selected cypress and has a natural, untreated wood finish that allows for painting or staining.

The third model added is the Gazebo Wood Cupola. Also made out of hand-selected cypress, the Gazebo Wood Cupola has an octagonal shape and is designed with louvers, a smooth wood base, and a shingled-style wood roof.

Weathervanes and cupolas are not the sole products sold by HG Lifestyle. Encompassing several sophisticated pieces ideal for enhancing and accenting a rooftop, patio, or garden, HG Lifestyle offers lines of rain chains, which attach to gutter spouts to turn an ordinary water flow into a dazzling spectacle; fire domes and pits; finials; oil lamps and torches; mail boxes; wind chimes; birdhouses and feeders; and wall art, among other pieces. Most are handcrafted out of copper or brass and have a polished or aged greenish-blue patina.

Founded more than 25 years ago, HG Lifestyle is a family-owned business that provides high-quality and superior handcrafted home and garden accessories. The business began first with weathervanes and, over time, expanded to the full line of products it presently carries. Working with skilled artisans and designers, HG Lifestyle adds new and unique collections of outdoor décor each year.

iBoutiques.com Announces Beta Launch of New Fashion E-commerce Website to Showcase Specialty Bricks & Mortar Boutiques and Independent Designers

iBoutiques.com Announces Beta Launch of New Fashion E-commerce Website to Showcase Specialty Bricks & Mortar Boutiques and Independent Designers

iBoutiques

New York (PRWEB) October 11, 2011

Today, iBoutiques announces the public Beta launch of its online fashion marketplace for niche boutiques and independent designers. The new e-commerce site’s mission is to bring authentic bricks & mortar women clothing boutiques online, as well as other select specialty stores and independent and emerging designers, and to promote them by showcasing each brand’s virtual storefront on the iBoutiques marketplace. Now, consumers nationwide can discover an array of specialty shops and browse for unexpected finds and unique fashions, much like when one travels and seeks out local shops tucked away on side streets – but without leaving home or office to enjoy the fashion shopping experience, and with the added convenience of finding all the boutiques in one place.

The online emporium currently features clothing, accessories and gifts from over 40 designers boutique dress shops and specialty stores, most of them based in New York City, and it plans to add more stores and fashion and jewelry designers nationwide over the next few months. In addition to fashionable women’s clothing, shoes, jewelry, bags and other accessories, iBoutiques is also a source for apparel, accessories and gifts for babies, kids fashion, and men’s fashion, as well as products in the health and beauty and home and garden categories. To add more diversity to internet shopping experience, iBoutiques will be featuring a number of vintage shops and even some pet boutique stores.

Unlike most other online marketplaces, iBoutiques allows shoppers to check out from multiple stores at the same time via one simple transaction – a huge time-saver. And because iBoutiques offers free UPS ground shipping, consumers have added incentive to buy.

iBoutiques is backed by Great Oaks Venture Capital, a New York-based firm that has invested in several other successful e-commerce sites, as well as tech, media and internet advertising companies.

“Because boutiques tend to stock hand-made, artisan items and merchandise from hard-to-find brands and emerging designers, they are a refreshing alternative to major department stores,” says Ben Lin, Partner at Great Oaks Venture Capital. “But small stores often lack the resources to build and effectively promote their own e-commerce websites, and bricks-and-mortar boutiques lack national reach because they rely on local foot-traffic into their physical storefront.”

The solution is iBoutiques.com, a turn-key e-commerce platform that allows even the smallest retailers to leverage the site’s technical and marketing resources – among them professional Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing – and participate in the national e-commerce marketplace. The easy-to-use site helps retailers build their brands and increase their sales and margins both in-store and online. Each boutique can create a custom virtual storefront that includes a description of the store, its products, its style mission and vision, and details on what makes that particular boutique special. It’s free for vendors to register and there is no listing fee for products. iBoutiques only charges a service fee when a sale is made, and iBoutiques covers the cost of shipping.

For shoppers, iBoutiques.com is a unique new destination where customers can discover a curated collection of intriguing dress boutique stores and designer brands, and learn about the people and the stories behind them. Social plugins allow shoppers to comment on products and “Like” products on Facebook and to share on Facebook or via email. If a shopper has a question about the product, they can post a question on the product page, or by private email, via the “Ask the boutique” button.

An added value of the site for both retailers and consumers is access to the iBoutiques the promotional Deal Voucher program. The deals are currently available only to bricks-and-mortar vendors on a local, in-store only basis, but will be expanded to online retailers in the near future. Boutiques with storefronts on iBoutiques can offer a local Deal Voucher with an appealing discount, which is good for in-store use only for a limited period of time. While there are several other sites offering local deals for bricks-and-mortar boutiques, iBoutiques is the only one offering shoppers an authentic preview where they can immediately browse examples of real products posted for sale online by the vendor offering the deal.

Another engaging feature for shoppers is the iBoutiques’ unique referral program, which allows consumers to earn unlimited credit for shopping on iBoutiques. A user simply uses Facebook, Twitter or email to invite friends to join the site via the user’s unique referral code and then benefits by receiving iBoutiques credit every time any of their friends makes a purchase, as well as whenever friends-of-friends in their invitee network purchase something, up to six degrees of separation. The program helps build user acquisition by encouraging user loyalty and viral sharing among friends and family.

During the Beta phase, the iBoutiques team will continue enhancing the site and adding features to improve the user experience for both vendors and shoppers. iBoutiques is actively seeking high-quality boutiques join as Charter Vendors during the beta launch phase. The official launch is planned to happen in late fall or early winter 2011/2012.

New Cheapism.com Research Finds Affordable, Quality Leaf Blowers for Fall Yard Work

New Cheapism.com Research Finds Affordable, Quality Leaf Blowers for Fall Yard Work

New York, NY (PRWEB) October 04, 2011

Cheapism.com, a review site dedicated to finding quality low-cost products, has identified the top cheap leaf blowers under $ 150. Four models make the list — two electric leaf blowers and two gas. Homeowners like the gas-powered Husqvarna 125B because it’s lightweight, relatively quiet (for a gas model), and powerful enough to move wet leaves. It also meets California’s strict emission standards. The Weed Eater FB25 is another good gas leaf blower. This model is very lightweight and starts easily. Unlike most cheap gas-powered models, the top electric blowers on Cheapism’s list also vacuum and mulch leaves. The best budget choice is the Toro 51599 Ultra, which boasts impressive power for an electric model, while the Craftsman 74828 is a good pick for consumers wanting to use attachments, including a rake, oscillating tip, and leaf blaster nozzle.

Cheapism’s picks can save users not only money, but lots of time and effort in the yard. Experts note that electric leaf blowers are well-suited to smaller yards where a power cord can reach and more powerful gas models are best for larger areas and heavy-duty cleanups.

The list reflects Cheapism’s research into must-have features and analysis of performance reviews. The best leaf blowers, the Toro 51599 Ultra and Husqvarna 125B, blow at 170 mph or higher and 255 CFM or higher, weigh less than 10 pounds, and have a noise level of 70 decibels or less. The Weed Eater FB25 also meets these specs, while the Craftsman 74828 is less powerful but seems to make up for that with ease of use.

New Book Challenges the Status Quo by Debunking Feng Shui Myths and Misunderstandings

New Book Challenges the Status Quo by Debunking Feng Shui Myths and Misunderstandings

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) October 03, 2011

Written by award-winning feng shui expert and star of Dish Network’s “Feng Shui Living”, Cathleen McCandless has combined twenty years of experience and extensive research in the fields of feng shui and environmental psychology to provide readers with a new, common sense perspective of feng shui. Feng Shui that Makes Sense: Easy Ways to Create a Home that Feels as Good as it Looks is the first feng shui book to denounce the superstition and nonsense associated with feng shui, alternatively providing readers with easy, practical ways to create a beautiful, comfortable home environment.

Ever wonder why some settings just feel better than others? Feng Shui that Makes Sense clearly explains the subtle positive and negative factors in interior and exterior environments that affect the way human beings experience their surroundings. Integrating this awareness into her design suggestions, McCandless takes readers step-by-step through all the rooms of their home as well as their exterior and garden areas, providing practical, easy ways to create a home that not only looks good, but more importantly feels good too.

Feng Shui that Makes Sense has earned respect from a variety of sources. I want people to know that at its core, feng shui is a beautiful, practical system of environmental design. It is my deepest hope that this book will help people understand that feng shui really does make sense and can actually make a positive difference in their lives.”
